Pitch: 2 threads per inch: our bench vice screws use very course threads to move quickly and hold securely.

In order to keep down the cost to you we’ve made them available in a range of options so that you can adapt them as required.

*62mm is the nominal size of the blank before cutting the thread into the screw. If it was left full thickness the vice screw would be so close fitting as to be impossible to turn. It would also have quite fine, sharp crests which would break easily. After we’ve cut the thread we then turn it down on the lathe to make it a looser fit. A bit of play makes these vice screws work better.
